Little hands & Big plans

Here at Little hands we believe in our motto that little hands can truly make big plans when nurtured with the right support, education, guidance and a sense of purpose. We would love you to accompany us on this journey of making a lasting difference in the lives of so many children that need our help.

About Us

creating hope– Building Dreams

Little hands believes that everyone can play their part in changing the lives of those that are less fortunate than the citizens of the western world. We believe that little hands can make big plans and that you can play your part, and quite literally bring hope to the hopeless in a very real and practical way.

Entire families and children are often innocent victims of poverty that can lead to exploitation that could be completely avoided with the help little hands provides.

We view every child with dignity and worth. We don’t simply provide programmes to engage their interest or occupy their time, but provide practical help by means of clothing, food, education and mentorship. We place the displaced into a caring, safe family environment to give them the best opportunities to succeed in life. We give the hopeless hope. We make dreams come true for as many children as we can, that would otherwise be lost to a life without opportunity of lasting change.

your role in our journey

Little hands and Big plans plans to succeed that include you!

Part of being organically involved with the humanitarian aspect has seen my own two children both 5 and 3 play a hands-on role in reaching and engaging children in southeast Asia and South Africa that are disengaged from normal society and life and often live in conditions and circumstances. Our ethos is that little hands can in time have big plans, and that those plans and dreams can be realised with the right support and opportunities,

How you can help little hands make big plans a reality

We are really keen to provide volunteers with the experience of making life changing differences to the families and children in South Africa and Southeast Asia, particularly if you have a skill or background in care, education or construction.

our story

At little hands compassion meets creativity to transform the lives of children and helps establish a sense of purpose and identity.

How it all began

Having been involved in the care sector in UK, I identified a genuine need in areas in south east Asia  and South Africa that were not being met, so my family and I came up with the concept of little hands. My family and I are all very much involved with the vision of little hands at a grass roots level. For several years now, we have been running a number of supported living projects for people with all kinds of issues from learning disabilities, mental health problems, and even homelessness.

We have now created “little hands” charity as our passion is to see those suffering…particularly the children find safety, purpose and a sense of identity that sees them become a valued person rather than another victim of poverty.
